Small household item

One of the categories in my local county fair is "small household item". They have hotpads/potholders, christmas ornaments, pillow top. (They have tons of categories but these are the ones that make be considered "small household item".

 

So, what would you make?

I think a set of really pretty hot pads/ pot holders would be great. If I have time these next few days I'm gonna knit a couple and enter them in our fair. I really haven't seen many pot holders at the fairs I've went to.

Maybe a kitchen set with placemats, hot pads, dish cloth, toweltopper?

A potholder/dishcloth set made with something like these potholders might bring you a blue ribbon. However, I would make sure all the "holes" are closed to protect fingers from heat. You might loose points on the judging if you don't. Choose vibrant colors too. They are eye catching.
