Cottontots for Washcloths?

Recommended Posts

I am making a gift basket for my step mil for her 80th birthday.

I was planning on making a foot scrubbie, a washcloth and then some other bath trinkets for the gift.

Would cottontot yarn work for a washcloth? I have the perfect color in my stash and was wondering if this would be ok to use.

What's your opinion?

How quickly do they dry? Do they get funky?

Thanks!

Kris

That's what I wanted to know also. Thanks.

I made a washcloth and towel for my little niece out of cottontots, and my brother never told me they got "funky". I was lucky enough to bathe her and wrap her in the towel once, and it was very soft. She liked it! She posed in the mirror with the towel around her and grinned. :)

Sorry, I haven't made any for personal use, but I can tell you my niece likes cottontots!

The cotton cloths you use to wash dishes can get funky but rinse them after you use them then put them in the microwave for 1 min. you will not get a funky cloth. The cloths I use for my bath never have an odor problem. I just put it ontop of the shampoo bottle and it is fine when I use it again.
