Three Thread hair Scrunchies

Shell Stitch Hair Scrunchie

 

Materials: Size 10 crochet thread in pink; size 5 Steel crochet hook; pony tail elastic; 24 6-mm pearl beads.

 

Note: Thread beads onto thread before beginning. Pattern is a multiple of 4 sts.

 

Rnd 1: Join thread around pony tail elastic with a sl st; ch1, work 48 sc around elastic, join with sl st to first sc.

 

Rnd 2: Ch1, sc in joining, * sk next sc, dc in next sc, (ch1, dc) 3 times in same sc, sk next sc, sc in next sc; rep from * around, join: 12 shells.

 

Rnd 3: Ch1, sc in joining, * ch1, sc in nt ch1 sp, ch1, pull up a bead, ch1, sc in same sp, (ch2, sc in nt ch sp) twice, ch1, pull up a bead, ch1, sc in same sp, ch1, sc in nt sc; rep from * around, join. Fasten off and weave in ends.

 

Cluster Stitch Scrunchie

 

Materials: Size 10 crochet thread; size 5 Steel crochet hook; pony tail elastic; 24 6-mm pearl beads.

 

Note: Thread beads onto thread before beginning. Pattern is a multiple of 4 sts.

 

Cluster: Yo twice, insert hook in next sc, yo and draw up a lp, (yo and draw through 2 lps on hook) twice, yo twice, insert hook in next sc and pull up a loop, (yo, draw through 2 lps on hook) twice, yo and draw through last 3 lps on hook.

 

Rnd 1: Join thread to pony tail holder with a sl st; ch1, work 48 sc around elastic, join with sl st to first sc.

 

Rnd 2: Ch3, tr in next sc, * ch2, cluster over next 2 sc; rep from * around, ch2, join with sl st to tr: 24 clusters.

 

Rnd 3: sl st to first ch-2 sp; ch1, sc in joining, ch1, pull up a bead, ch1, sc in same sp, * ch1, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch1, pull up a bead, ch1, sc in same ch sp; rep from * around, ch1, join. Fasten off and weave in ends.

 

Perfect petals Scrunchie

 

Materials: Size 10 crochet thread; size 5 Steel crochet hook; 24 6-mm pearl beads.

 

Note: Thread beads onto thread before beginning. Pattern is a multiple of 4 sts.

 

Rnd 1: Join thread to pony tail elastic with a sl st; ch1, work 48 sc around, join with sl st to first sc.

 

Rnd 2: * ch4, sk next sc, tr in next sc, ch4, sk next sc, sl st in next sc; rep from * around: 12 petals.

 

Rnd 3: * ch2, sk next 2 chs, sc in next ch, ch1, pull up a bead, ch1, sc in next tr, ch1, pull up a bead, ch1, sk next ch, sc in next ch, ch2, sl st in next sl st; rep from * around. Fasten off and weavve in ends.

TFS. I've never tried a scrunchy in thread, so I'm going to give one of these a go.
