• Aunt Lydia's Fashion Crochet Thread Size 3 [white/purl]
  
• Size 3 [2.10] Steel Crochet Hook
  

Special instructions:

V Stitch- Chain two, yarn over, insert hook into same space as last stitch was worked, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through two loops on hook [two loops remain on hook], yarn over, skip two stitches, insert hook into next, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through two loops on hook, yarn over, pull through last three loops on hook.

 

Short V Stitch- Chain two, yarn over, insert hook into same space as last stitch was worked, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through two loops on hook [two loops remain on hook], yarn over, skip one stitch, insert hook into next, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through two loops on hook, yarn over, pull through last three loops on hook.

 

 

 

• To begin: chain 136, attach with a slip stitch to first chain
  

 

 

• Round One: Chain two, double crochet in next chain. Double crochet in next 27 chain spaces. Three double crochet in next. One double crochet in next 39 chain spaces. Three double crochet in next. One double crochet in next 27. Three double crochet in next. One double crochet in next 39 chain spaces. Three double crochet in next. Slip Stitch to first. Do not turn.
  

 

 

• Round Two: Chain two, skip two stitches, double crochet in next. Work a V stitch [see special instructions], V stitch six more times. Next, short V stitch three times to form corner. Regular V stitch next, thirteen times. Short V stitch three times. V stitch eight times. Short V stitch three times. Next, V stitch twelve times. Short V stitch three times. Chain two, slip stitch to first.
  

 

 

• Round Three: * Chain one. Three single crochet in next chain space. Repeat from * around. Slip stitch to first.
