How to choose a tester?

I´ll be needing pattern testers when I finish some patterns I´m working on. But how do I choose who gets to test the patterns? I guess most of the people at this forum are trustworthy and honest. But I have read about testers who haven´t stuck to the agreements too

You just have to use your own discretion. Crochetville does not get involved in private tester arrangements, so we maintain no list of "good testers" or anything like that.

 

You can set your own requirements for testing experience if you like. For example, you could ask testers to provide a list of patterns they have successfully tested as well as a list of designer references that you can contact. (Just state they'd need to contact those references first for permission to give the designer's contact information to you.)
