In their latest catalog, one of the models is holding a garland made by stringing crocheted snowflakes together. Great idea!

Leisure arts has a book out called, "White Christmas in crochet thread". One of the patterns is a string of crocheted snowflakes. I just got the book last week, and I love it. There are 54 patterns, snowflakes, icicles, garlands, tree toppers and a beautiful tree skirt. The copyright on the book is 2001, so the idea has been around for awhile.

you ought to see it, I am working on the snowflakes right now.
