Dress Towel Topper

Okay, for my SILs and MIL this Christmas I am making kitchen sets. Jackie's house is African inspired (zebra strip prints, cheetah prints, peacock feather balls, etc.). So I am using black and white yarn with black towels for her. My dilemma is this: What color buttons to use? Silver? White? Black? White & Black? Gray? Cover some with the yarn?

 

Here is the towel I have almost finished (just pinned, not sewn together, ends still need to be woven in). Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know if this would be too much but what about a black with rhinestones button to give it a bit of sparkle. Otherwise, I'd go with a shiny black button.

I think I would keep to the solid black being on variegated, but if you used black yarn, I saw the cutest zebra buttons the other day. Great gift.

I am probably not any help, but... if it was me, I would take it to the store with me and see which ones look best.
