Dyeing help please

Ok I bought some yarn at the thrift store the other day and they still have the labels on them. It says 100% wool on the label and the color is an off white cream color.

 

I would love to dye this wool and Ive been reading some of the other posts on here but Im still worried I will do something wrong. Can someone please tell me what type of dye I must use on this wool and what I should do....Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you dyeing it a solid color or variegated?

Wool is the easiest to dye, you can use food coloring or powered drink mix. Once you've dyed wool with kool-ade you will know why mom's don't like kids drinking it on light colored carpeting or furniture.

 

There is a whole section in the Community College section of the 'ville about dyes and how to use them without tears.
