Feeling REALLY Stupid...

Recommended Posts

I am going to the former home of the father of a friend to clean the place and prep it for both an estate sale and, later for the actual sale of the house. I need some projects to take along that don't take up much space. I will be working on these at night to help me relax and prepare for sleep. Any suggestions? I will be gone 3 weeks this time and may actually be gone for at least one more 3 week period BEFORE the estate sale....

I would recommend making dish cloths, pot holders or something along that line. You may be too tired to concentrate on anything that is challenging (I would be!) and you should be able to purchase more yarn (if needed) with out much trouble. :crocheting

Or a simple stitch afghan if you have a stash of scraps you could use up. I have such a large stash of scraps and one skeins of colors that I would take black and/or white and all these colors and make a couple of the very easy mindless scrap afghans I've seen patterns for lately. Don't know how to post links, but they are pretty easy to find. Mine would be going out in a big bag of scraps (pretty heavy to carry,) and would come back in a the same bag complete (still pretty heavy to carry.) Depends on what you have the yarn for. If cotton, then the dish cloths would be a good bet, if acrylics, then a simple afghan. That's just MHO.

You could look over what you're making for Christmas and see if there is anything on it to take with you.

Take a bunch of yarn and just work on a scrap afghan.

Really the list is endless if you put your thinking cap on. :)

If it were me I would be working on squares for charities also. I love making stuff for other people and rarely keep anything for myself. Thats what my mom is for, she makes my afghans that I love to wrap up in!:D
