scarf made with cotton

Has anyone made a scarf using the same cotton that is used for dishcloths and such? How did you like it, did it turn out okay, would you recommend doing one?

I haven't made one personally, but you have to keep in mind that it will be a lot heavier. I would suggest using an open motif pattern and sewing them together. As for a winter scarf.. I'm not sure. You would also have to find the softer type of cotton. Cotton tots is really soft and light, but piles a lot. Hopefully someone else has some better suggestions!

I have used the kitchen cotton to make the One Skein Scarf pattern. I thought it turned out very nice. It is a bit heavier, but not that bad.
