Hat with runes

My brother's in this viking-band, so I made him a hat with runes!

 

I didn't have a real pattern, the rune-knit pattern I had was much too big, So I had to wing it. But I think it turned out alright.

 

Can anyone figure out what his name is? (That's what's on the hat).

I don't know what a rune is, so I don't have a clue about the name! LOL! (I'll keep watching to see if anyone else does!)

Runes are the vikings' letters. The stuff on the front isn't a really botched rib, it's viking letters, to the best of my ability.

It's not exactly like the one I used, but it comes pretty close.

 

If you think the s looks like something neonazis would use, it's because Hitler stole the viking s to use in his SS emblems.

It's cool! I'd like to try to guess what you "wrote," but some of the runes are dark. Do you have any more pics with more light?

That's cool. I love the Viking-style knits. You've probably already seen it, but Viking Knits has a lot of cool patterns like that.
