Identifying wool yarn

sugalily

Question

I'm new at this...:knit and I can't tell the difference between a wool/acrylic/rayon/etc. yarn fiber or any combination. I usually go to the local thrift stores to look for yarn, since it's way cheap:wink , but it doesn't always come with the original label.:thinking2

Is there a way to tell which one is 100% wool??? :shrug

ooh didn't know about the bleach test!

I have a bag of 14 balls of some yarn that -looks- like wool, and -looks- handspun, but I don't know for sure. I tried the burn test, and couldn't tell... maybe the bleach test will come through for me. LOL!
