2 New Discoveries

Recommended Posts

Wanted to share 2 new things I discovered. One I found my usual way-out of necessity. Needed to weave in an end on an item made of baby yarn. All I had with me was a steel crochet hook around size 5. It worked the end in so well, I tried it on other things. The size 5 works best for me with baby yarn and around a size 1 for 4 ply. Then I tried it doing the Russian join. It really works well. Instead of threading a needle, just cross your two yarn pieces and weave the ends in. Love it!

The other thing, somewhere recently I read where someone had discovered if she pulled her chain stitches through her fingers, they evened out. They really do! But I went a step farther. I tried it on slip stitches. It really evens out those very well. I have tried it on other stitches and works pretty well. I love being able to make it look like I have such even stitches!
