hello all

Here are some ideas for you.

You can call your local radio station and ask them to put out a request for yarn.

You can save money by buying Caron Simply Soft. It's the most economical yarn around, and it's great for baby items.

Many churches have a stash of 4 ply yarn in their craft room. It wouldn't hurt to go ask for a skein or two from each church in your area. Lutheran churches that have LWR sewing groups often have a great deal of yarn.

If there's a sewing group in your area, you can ask those ladies if they have extra yarn.

You can make several things and ask the newspaper to do a story on your project. Newspapers are always looking for human interest stories. Then the story could mention that you accept yarn donations.

Good luck!
