Turning my coaster into a tawashi scrubbie

Since someone on another blog suggested it, I turned my flower coaster pattern into a tawashi scrubbie pattern.

 

It is made with cotton yarn and nylon tulle, although you could use acrylic instead if you do not plan to use it to wash yourself.

Thanks for sharing. They are really cute and sure need to do some stash busting. I knit my dish cloths and am looking for smaller scrubbies. I recently made up my own just using dc, made a pocket, approx. 15 dc wide by 5 rows high, then added a decorative border. Suits my needs but yours are prettier!

 

I always put my cotton cloths in the microware for a minute after I wash dishes. I wonder if your scrubbie can take the microwave? Hummm, my project for tomorrow and I can't wait.

I am not sure about the tulle, but I have a scrubbie a friend made with just nylon mesh that is looking pretty sorry at this point so it could be sacrificed. I may test what happens to it in the microwave as an experiment. If anyone else knows, please share.

that is pretty Laura! I got a facial scrubbie with something I ordered, crochet, like this and I love it... problem is, it was for my mom, and I used it! Now I need to make one to replace for her gift!
