You guys should write down these patterns they are so good! I would crochet every one of these guys, Kirk, Spock, Ensign Ricky.

 

Unfortunately, there may be trademark/copyright issues involved here. If anybody wanted to distribute a pattern for these characters, they would first need to contact the trademark and copyright holders for Star Trek to inquire about licensing arrangements.

 

Most licensing arrangements are so expensive (if you meet the company's minimum business requirements so they'll even respond to your request), that no designer would be able to sell enough patterns to recoup the costs involved in purchasing the licensing arrangement. That's why we don't see very many patterns for copyrighted/trademarked characters.
