knit, although I do have some crochet patterns for socks, I prefer knit socks better

I really like the crochet toe up after heel sock pattern in Beyond Basic Crocheting. I do not however turn the socks inside out afterward I like the way they look and feel without doing that,in fact somebody thought the pair that I showed them was knitted!

Yes it is by Sharon Hernes Silverman. It is a sequel to Basic Crocheting which I do not own. I found mine at Border's and was lucky enough to have a coupon that day.
