Excellent filet tutorial

Recommended Posts

Most of us know that Sandi Marshall has a great page at About dot com and that she is a great teacher as well.

She has created a new square using her "Dangling Hearts" design on this page...

and then on these page, she shows the words and the chart of the beginning rows of another square (dragonfly)so you can see what is going on with filet...

and for an outside border (rounds) here we go:

Many people come here and to our Help section with questions about Filet crochet. This is a great resource for those who wish to learn filet and also for those of us who like to help others.

I really value the contribution Sandi makes to our crochet world. I hope she gets to stop by here occasionally to see how much she is appreciated.

I must send her another thank you.

A quick question regarding these instructions... I'm confused that for the first row of the dragonfly pattern (solid mesh), the directions say to begin with a dc in the 5th ch from the hook. Wouldn't that leave a space at that end of the row? I must not be reading this correctly. :think
