I'd love to help out, but other than the Red Cross, I really wouldn't know who to send the items to either...

Are you talking about crocheting around the edges of a fleece blanket?

I love doing fleece blankets, especially for mailing them out, because

1) they're so fast to make, I can make a 15X20" preemie blanket, cut out and everything in 30 minutes

2) they pack up THIN so you can get a lot in a box

3) they're light to mail

However, I'm still trying to find a cheap place to buy fleece... Any suggestions?
