Did anyone watch the show this week? It featured a young woman who felted a hat and a flower pin using wool fibers (not yarn), soap and a sander with a vinyl band instead of sand paper. It was so interesting but I didn't understand how it ended up being FELTED...... And, what's with the soap??? The hat had a bill and was striped with yarn on the wool fiber.

I think they use soap in felting to change the ph of the water.
