Editting pdf files?

Is there any way to edit a pdf document? I have found a pattern I'd like to save, but it's in British terms. I like to convert them over to US terms before I save them.

 

If this can be done, does it require some special software? I am on a Mac and have MS Office (Word).

I'm pretty sure you'd need an Adobe editor program; not sure what its exact name is, sorry. I find that if I have to edit a PDF, I usually copy and paste the text into a Word document, and go from there. I save a copy of the original file, and compare as I go. You can get the editor...Adobe Acrobat (aha!) but its not free.

Thanks so much, Anne. Somehow, I didn't realize I could copy it. I have pasted into a Word document, as you said, and now I can change those TRC to DC's The only thing I couldn't figure out how to copy over is the picture.

right click your mouse on the image and select copy image, then just paste by right clicking the mouse or press ctrl v on your page

Hi there, I dont think you can edit a pdf file. That is how people protect their copyright.
