I get the LionBrand's newsletter and this tip was the Tip of the Day which I thought was a great idea.

Tip of the week: Keep a container of alphabet beads in your project bag. When finished with a project for the day, slip the bead that corresponds to the crochet hook you're using onto the stitch holder. It's nice way to know what size hook was use.
