What is Tunisian crochet? I see this is Annie's Attic all the time, but can't figure it out. And what do you use the double ended hooks for? How about the hooks that are like circular knitting needles? Are they for larger projects or projects in the round?

A Tunisian hook is one that looks like a knitting needle with a hook on the end. The double-ended hook is a cro-hook. I know this because I engaged in some retail therapy today and bough one of each.

Go to http://www.stitchguide.com They have wonderful tutorials of the tunisian and cro-hook methods. I use both and like the cro-hook over tunisian, just due to the reversibilty of the finished product. The hooks with the cable are for doing tunisian or crohook on an afghan scale, most hooks are 11-14" long which is not conducive to doing a full sized afghan.
