fancy edging

I'm making a wedding afghan for my friend and i have 9 rows to go and then i have to do the edging. can anyone give me any ideas for a nice lacy fancy looking edge? the afghan is worked all in single crochet. i know the first thing i have to do is sc around the whole afghan but then what?

any ideas will help

This is my favourite edging (never in black though)it is so easy to do and looks great when made.
