FO: My first adventure in Fair Isle Knitting...

I completed my first Fair Isle FO today... a simple hat, knit flat then seamed together with mattress stitch along the back.

 

Here's me "modeling" it:

I think I could have gotten my stitches a little more even but its not too bad for my first try I think.

 

It was done in Vanna's Choice yarn... I didn't want to splurge for something that I could have possibly screwed up royally

You did a great job! I always like to start a new technique on a smaller item so I can get the hang of it without a big commitment. The hat was a good choice and really is cute. I'm sure you'll get lots of compliments.

That looks great!!! Well done! I have a 'newbie' question. Is Fair isle a style ? How is it different from intarsnia (sp?) HaHa I can't even SPELL that right LOL
