Cranky Crocheter

Recommended Posts

Hey all..:welcome

I started to crochet the Lion Brand Cowl Neck Sweater.. Its croched side to side so I am sure its an easy pattern. This will be my first attempt at a sweater and I thought it would be cool to start a CAL so we can cheer each other on..:cheer

I am using Mission Falls 1824 merino in PURPLE (Hey, I got it free)I already have about 15 inches done and I would love to make the sleeves longer.. Hopfully you guys will join to show me how:lol

Any interest??? http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/70210A.html?noImages=0

Ooooh, this one's been on my list, but...I look horrible in cowl necks, and I live where it's hot most of the year, so I probably won't make it, but I'll cheer you on! :cheer :cheer :cheer

Here's another one I'd love to do:

The sleeves would actually be a breeze, as the only instructions are to continue using same row for X number of inches.

But.. do the sleeves start at the armpit? The middle of it or the end?!?! I am just not sure where to measure from..

They start at the armpit. You're attaching the yarn for the sleeve right at the armpit/sleeve opening, joining all around as you do the first round of the sleeve and then just working in rounds until you get the length you desire.

You could even easily taper it off or open it up for bell sleeves if you wanted. Very simple pattern to adjust.

THANKS!! After reading it I saw that the sleeves are attached.. I thought I had to initially chain the amount I wanted.. :think Makes sense now!!

I like the idea of bell sleeves.. Thanks
