Spiderman Afghan Yarn?

Has anyone made the Spiderman Afghan using something other than the Red heart Supersaver. If so what yarn and what colors did you use?

Hi, I made the spiderman afghan and used a 3 ply ww. It took a few more rows to get to the right size but turned out great. I just used a bright red and a bright blue, color of spiderman. Then used a black in the same size for the finishing. If you like I could send you a picture. Nancy

I haven't made one yet but when I do, I was going to use the yarn from Hobby Lobby called "I Love This Yarn!" They have all the colors needed and the yarn is softer than Red Heart.

I made my with red heart and used cherry red, black, and royal blue

it turned out great. A very warm blanket
