Question

I have made an aphgan out of granny squares and am going to weave in all those ends. But how or what keeps them from popping up again? I made on for my mother 3 years ago and she is always getting little pokeys.:(

Leave 6" inches of a tail thread when you finish off. When you change colors, work over your ends for at least 4".

When weaving in the ends, weave in about halfway in one direction, then go across and back in the other direction. Weave in at least 4" and when you're done weaving (this is the important part!) give a little "stretch" to the piece to seat it in there. If the weaving is too tight the ends will pop up later when the piece gets stretched.

Also, if you have weaved in a long enough tail, then you can feel confident to snip off a little piece that pops up later.
