tanya_b

Question

i usually just crochet for myself, i dont have a baby but i love to make baby cloths. therefore i never had to wash anything i made yet, i was wondering how to do wash the garments because i am finishing an outfit for a girl at my work, and i wanted to make sure it wouldnt unravel on me in the washing machine!

Is it acrylic? If so, and if you have tied off and woven in long enough ends (4-6") you should be OK to put it in the washer in cold, short, gentle cycle. I'd use a hosiery bag (If you don't have one you can get them at the dollar store, they are very handy). Or, you could always wash it by hand and give it a short cool fluff in the drier with a drier sheet.

Hi!:)

Well, I don't use the washing machine.

I use cold water and neutral soap. I rub it gently and then I wash it until there's no soap left.

Then I dry it in horizontal position. If you hung it the garment may lose its shape.;)
