Aussies; charities to consider

I know there is a long thread around here somewhere about an Aussie hospital not wanting to accept donations for patients, but were happy to sell them. Not surprisingly this caused quite a bit of uproar amongst our Villiage friends. It was only this week I remembered a pharmacy that offers a free pattern book (knit really) but who do want these kinds of donations, so here is their website;

there are also a couple of free knit patterns there

I can only assume they'd be more than happy to accept crochet too

Western Power have a Charity Link program where they're asking for financial donations to provide blankets for WA's needy yet I see a lot of crochet in their ads both tv and net, so maybe they'd accept crocheted blankets? If inerested I'd email and ask, can't hurt!

I know King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women in Perth accepts donations for their premmies, and are linked to Princess Margaret Children's Hospital (WA's only childrens hospital) and they may take some things as well. Never know unless you ask!
