Yarn weight?

Recommended Posts

wool-ease yarn would be warm enough, if son is older. A wool that's washable would probably be the best.

Depending on age of son, you might want to make it out of sport yarn and use a thermal stitch. Example: if your son is 4 or 5, 4 ply yarn may be too heavy to be under clothes.

A waffle stitch would be great as it has the thickness like thermal underwear.

I agree that you would want a finer weight for this. (if longies are what I think they are :rofl)

I may not be able to use that fine weight yarn for big projects but I truly love how it works for them. :dreaming
