Lining

I have a bag that i recently finished that I would like to line with some nice fabric. I've never done it before. Where do ya'll get your fabric? How much extra fabric should i be getting for my bag? There's a fabric store near my work (Boston!) but it looks like it's more for clothing. I don't know if i should get a specific material. All help and advice much appreciated!

That store should be fine, just get a plain cotton, or cotton/poly blend. You don't have to get anything special, basically nothing too thick or too thin(like chiffon) or stretchy. And if you've never done it before best not get anything too shiny and slippery or you'll be pulling your hair out!
