SNB - Ladylike Lace Gloves

Has anyone ever made or tried making the fingerless gloves in the SNB book? I tried making mittens last year and had problems with the thumb. Thought this might work out better. TIA

i have had two gos at these and cannot getthe gauge right ended up just using the lace pattern, and the shaping at the wrist and adding the thumb on afterwards, the back came out way too wide even with a smaller hook and i am not at all on the petite size !
