Twin Cable Purse - kal!!!

hello ladeis

since loooooooooooong time ago i found this pattern and deffintlly loved it it`s fantastic and soooooo cute purse pattern

it is a Twin Cable Purse

i would love to have someone working with me at this project

so who would love to start it with me and have this awsome purse???

That looks really nice but it's beyond my level of skill right now. Maybe when I'm more comfortable with my knitting, I'll give it a try. Do post pictures of yours!

I've looked at that pattern a few times and have really liked the look of the purse. I haven't had the desire to try cables yet (even though I've heard how easy they are)...but this just might do it for me.

i didn`t start yet i was sooooo sick now as i feel better i shall work on it

I had some time last night to try this pattern out. Once I found the right DP needle to use as a cable hook, everything went smoothly. The pattern calls for size 15 needles...I used 8 because I was using mainstays ww yarn. Of course the finished "bag" was much smaller than the one in the picture .

I then added another repeat or so to make it into a small pouch or change purse:

 

 

added a zipper and lined it:

 

 

my stepdaughter (20) is a big Yankee fan, so this will be perfect for her

 

For my first try at cables...I'm very pleased. They are definitely as easy as everyone has said.

I'd love to start a purse but I'm not a big fan of the handled type purse. One day I want to make the cable bag that has a large cabled flap and a knitted strap. Good luck on your project now that you are feeling better!
