Have 2 skeins of organic cotton left..what to make??

Recommended Posts

I have 2 skeins of Blue Sky Alpacas organic cotton left and am chomping at the bit to do something with it, but don't know what.

I don't have any babies to make a sweater for, and that's the only thing I can think of that's small enough....

Any ideas?

It's in "bone" which is a natural off white color. I don't look good in off white, so hats and scarves are out (plus, it's cotton...)

Thanks!!

what about those mesh shopping bags? i am making them with sugar and cream, but i see no reason why you couldnt use organic cotton. http://http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/60551.html

Blue Sky is really soft -- much more so than Sugar n Cream and the like -- so it's probably not good for shopping bags, altho it could make realllly soft washcloths. I used it to make a small teddy bear for my grandson, and it was just right for that.

I emailed Blue Sky Alpacas to ask about "dye lots". I mean, I know the yarn isn't dyed, it's color grown, but I assume different lots will have shade variations. If it didn't, I'd buy a bunch more and make a throw.

I'm gonna wait for their response and see....

...or maybe a stuffed animal...

....or......
