Six Point Granny Star Question

Hey Girls,

I am making the 6 point granny star afghan from Monique Broadby. Has anyone else purchased and made this pattern?

 

I am stuck on rows 3 and 4. I'm not doing something right.

 

If you've used this pattern before let me know so I can pick your brain.

Sorry, I was thinking this was a question for a hexagon granny but since it could be all kinds of things, I can't help you.

 

I hate to see a question go unanswered here so I took a look but don't know the specific pattern.

Thanks for helping Darski, that is very sweet of you.

 

I found the pattern through the ville, so I assumed that someone here had made it before and maybe would have some ideas.

 

I e-mailed the gal who wrote the pattern and she's trying to help out a bit, its just a confusing pattern to get going on. I really want to make it work though, so I'll keep plugging away at it. Maybe someday soon I can post a picture of a finished project!
