I have been reading about this for awhile now and I can't take it any longer...I've just got to try it.....I don't know the first thing about it.What kind of yarn do you use...is it something I can get from walmart? Do you just use one kind of yarn? Do you just use a single strand? I am so excited. thanks:clap

There are some threads in this forum that specify what to use. Basically, you want plain, pure wool, and make sure it doesn't say "superwash", or machine washable... those have been treated so that they won't felt

I have used various company's wool. Cascade 220 works great, Plymouth Outback wool felts nice and smooth, Noro Kureyon felts well but fuzzy, and I used somebody's 85% wool 15% mohair and it was nice, but I wasn't keen on the fuzzy-ness, nor on the mohair hairs I had to clean out of the washer.
