Doorknob Covers?

Anyone know where I can find a pattern for a doorknob cover? I've found one non-Christmas one on CPC but that's it. My mom has some really ugly doorknobs and asked me to crochet her some pretty covers for them...not really my style but she really wants them so I'm on a mission, .

The first thing I thought of when I read your request was "Jar Lid Covers". They look like a doily but fit over jars. They can be tied tight. Also, bun covers would work. Of course, you would have to make them to fit the door knob but I think the pattern size would work.

Look under Christmas patterns for the doornob covers and then just change the colors to match your mom's house.
