crochet-along for a butterfly bag

Recommended Posts

Because of a death in the family, and our son's wedding, I had a long hiatus on the crochet along for the butterfly bag, but am back at it again. Here is what I have been up to:

I've been working on the connecting meshes that will capture the motifs on the butterfly bag for the Butterfly bag crochet along.

I've just posted pics of the 3 different mesh stitches that I am using in the crocheted butterfly bag:

Hi ZuZu!

And big hugs to you!:hug

Ah, there were soooooooooooo many gorgeous moments before and during and after the wedding! It was very moving......... very hard in some ways, too, because of darlin' Mum's death a few days before.

It's sure been an intense time!

whew.......

And yes, indeed, puddytat is doing MUCH better! Thank goodness. She's a love, and has established dominance over the dogs -but the other cat is not impressed, so the fur still flies (Literally!) eep.....

I am grinning from ear to ear about your description of the bag on the floor:

that is an accurate description of my studio right now- eegads! I don't even want to think about it........ LOL!

Yes, I did wear the lace jacket to our son's wedding, and froze as it was flipping cold! I should have gone for the warmer option! WHodathunkit? :lol

Now, I am scrambling to meet deadlines, but am pleased to be back on course with the butterfly bag.... have just posted a pile of links to it.....

big hugs to you,

and hope all is well and blooming!

Noreen

Dear Noreen' date='

I have looked at your web site at the lovely bag.

I am sorry to hear about the death of Jim's Mum. She is held in your heart .

Putting the shawl over the bride of your son must have been a beautiful moment.

I am still trying to finish the small project I was working on. :help

"Trying" , as in, it is in a bag on the floor, and I am walking around it as I attend to, or avoid more pressing matters.

I don't know when I could ever work on more just now. (and I have gotten more ideas that I want to start!)

I love the jacket you are wearing, and I have long wanted to make one similar. I have many Irish Rose flowers and leaves, some quite complex, and some assorted butterflies, that are in a bag, in another pile, for over a year!

Yours is gorgeous! Did you wear it to the wedding ?

(I couldn't tell from the photo)

I hope things are going better with the cat. :cat

I have my template for this done. I only had light weight cotton so I have used some iron on fusing to reinforce it abit. I am now playing with several ideas for this bag. I have been tatting butterflies and am going to try some spool knitting as well. then crocheting for the mesh. I think this is the plan. Off to find some pretty beads and buttons to use.:hook
