It's beautiful! <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/eek.gif" />

I could email her, but I thought it easier to ask you first--What is the thickness/gauge of this yarn? What size hook would it work best with?

Thanks!!

that is a great question to ask me.. cause believe it or not she doesnt crochet or knit ... LOL

i like using a larger hook with it to give a more lacy effect.. the last thing i made i used a Brittany L (or was it M why dont i write this stuff down?)...with it .. i think it would still look nice if you went down to a J or K since the "hairiness" of it is nice you wouldnt want to crochet too tightly with it ...i think it would lose some of its character that way ... i blend mine with other fibres as well .. i like using more than one yarn at a time.. i have two different ones from her.. one is about the size of say sugar and cream cotton with fur on it and the other is a little smaller than that ... does that help? i can take a picture with something beside it to give an idea if you want ....

That helps alot, so thanks!! I want to knit (gasp) some sweaters, using a size needle about the diameter of a J hook, so this yarn may do the trick.

I was wondering why the seller never mentioned gauge on her listings--it's stopped me from buying it before (she's on my fav. sellers list). Now I think I may have to buy, Buy, BUY!

THanks!

you are so welcome!!

i am glad to help... i hope you do .. she has such interesting stuff.. usually she will lay a paperclip in the picture to give an idea of guage .. or like in her chenilles will tell you how many ypp .... i had to learn a little to get an idea but the say 1400 ypp is about the same as chenille sensations... the 900 ypp is between that and the thick and quick .. and the 500ypp is like a thick and quick.. so that might help as well ...

happy bidding and GOOD LUCK!

she is a super lady to do business with
