Hi!

I made two extra wide scarfs last week (about 10" across), but I stranded my fun fur yarn with a fuzzy chenille yarn.

The one scarf (about 60" long) took 100 grams of Aldemir fur yarn and one skein of the chenille which had was about 120 yards.

The chenille I used is also called short eyelash, but it is more like chenille than anything.

Wide Scarf:

I used a size N hook,

chain about 25

hdc in 3rd chain from hook, hdc across, chain 2, turn

2nd row: dc across

3rd row thru 5th row: triple crochet across

6th row: dc across

7th row: hdc across

then repeat the rows till you near the end of the yarn or think its long enough, and end with a half-double crochet row, then one row of loose slip stitches (so the ends match)

:brrr

I added the hdc crochet rows to help keep the shape, the scarf just looks better with them

The scarves are very light weight and very warm

One I made longer, and added buttons so that it can be a shoulder wrap, cowl, or whatever :)

If you want to see a pic, let me know, and I'll try to figure out how to add one.
