I was wondering about pure wool prices.I found "the peruvian collection" highland wool on elann's 50 gr ball for $2.25.I've never bought 100% wool before and wanted to know if this was a decent price.I want to try felting.<img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/thanks.gif" />

Hi Christy!

I'm not quite familiar with the "peruvian collection"

I went to JoAnn's and found 'Patons Classic Moreno Wool' which is 100% wool for $5.99 a skein (3 1/2 oz).

I'm not sure if that's even a good price but I wanted to try felting so badly that I just bought it right away.

My felted handbag is almost finished then I get to throw it in the washer... I'm excited to see what happens.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. :shrug

That is a good price, and it looks like yummy wool!!!

Check out Joanns.com. Right now they have all their Patons Yarn on sale plus there is a popup coupon for an additional 20% off online orders (including sale items).

Patons Classic Merino is a good felting yarn, comes in lots of colors. They have it on sale for $3.99. If you buy more than 5 skeins of yarn you get an additional 10% off which brings it down to $3.59 a skein. I think that is any combo of 5 skeins, but not sure. So, add the 20% off, and you now have twice the yarn for $2.87.

must....not....give...in...to...temptation.....:::twitch::::
