My mom and I got some of this a few days ago, to start a baby afghan for a friend. My mom found it very hard to work with, even using a hook that was like two sizes bigger than the pattern called for. Not only was it difficult for her to see the stitches, but it pulled tight, and was hard to undo stitches if she needed to pull some out.

 

I guess my question is, has anyone else used this yarn, and is it just something that you need to use a really large hook with? My mom has been crocheting for EONS, and I am afraid that if she found it difficult to use, that I may have trouble using it, or other yarns other than W.W.

it's soft all right but I hate using it. I got a bunch of it when it first came out but I gave it all away pretty quickly.

i love fluffy yarns, but i nearly ALWAYS use a hook that is much bigger. if it calls for K, i start with a P. i work a little swatch and try it out to see how it looks then continue...
