Actually, I know there is, because in my vast research of all things crochet, I have come across it ... but looking for it over the last two days I can't find where I had seen it.

 

I am looking for a gadget that actually measures the yardage of yarn.

 

I know you folks have heard of it, I just need to know what it's called.
