hook size help

im very confused by this...

 

i have 4 thread crochet hooks (that i stole from grandmoms stash, she doesnt do thread)

 

i have...

B/1 (pink)

C/2 (blue)

D/3 (green)

7 (silver)

the above list SHOULD be smallest to biggest but its not...

to me it looks like the hooks are (smallest to biggest)

7 (slver)

B/1 (pink)

C/2 (blue)

i dont have one of those sizer thingys...

but i dont know which hook to use since i dont have the recommended size

the silver hooks with the numbers are thread hooks. the colored ones with the letters are yarn hooks, used for fingering yarn or baby weight yarn. here's a chart that might help you understand better.
