I made myself and my friend in the State of Washington some just like those. They are comfortable and warm. I added a crochet crochet rope in a deeper color and put at the top and the bottom; that way if they fall down or don't fit extacly the way we want we can tighten them up.

They are really warm You did a good job on yours. oh , I made them in pink. pinkroses

Very cool. I remember them in the 80's also. Funny how things come and go out of fashion.
