A solution?

When my daughter's neckline turned out a little too big, I added another round at the neck edge. I just chained one between each dc all the way around the neck, and it worked great.

Im thinking I will change the pattern to 1 1/2" larger then head (instead of the 2 1/2"), do you think that will help? Because the yarn does seem to stretch even more once the poncho is worn for a bit.

 

But that is a great solution I do that with necklines when it starts hanging over the shoulder.
