Easy, cute, baby socks/booties

Well, I need to do a few pairs of baby booties for Christmas presents and when I looked up free baby booties patterns...there are so many! LOL! And many of them say they are "easy".

 

I'd like some suggestions from people who have actually stitched them, LOL, so if you have stitched a free bootie pattern and thought it was a quick easy stitch, could you point me to it?

Quick and Easy Booties

 

I've made bunches and bunches of these and they do work up quick, and cute. )

Oh, those are cute, do you just up the hook size so they are larger than preemie size? (sorry, new to anything other than scarves and afghans)

It's been a long time since I made them, but yes, changing hook size will change the bootie size.

I can vouch for those, I made my first pair within an hour and a half, with several interruptions

LOL! I tried making one of these, finished it pretty quick, but it is TINY! I went up a hook size but the yarn was thinner so it is tiny. Too sweet though. I'm going to redo it doubling the thread and going up another hook size. My friend had a good suggestion to make the little mini one into a "baby's first christmas" ornament! So I'll loop a ribbon through it and maybe hook a little charm to it.

When I made mine, I used worsted weight yarn and hook sizes anywhere from H on up to K.

LOL, no, it wasn't your fault, I knew it was a preemie pattern, I just wasn't sure what going up a hook size would do--and I just used 1 strand of Lion's babysoft, which is thinner than worsted weight. It was a good tester! I'm def. going to have another go of it and have a cute little mini ornament as well!

I've used the pattern on Bev's Country Cottage. THey were very easy.

I just made the Quick & Easy Booties, and they're exactly that -- quick and easy. I'm so proud of them, I've never made booties before!! I was even surprised that they came out looking about the same (something I was expecting I would have trouble with).

oh..but they are quick and easy and have the shape of socks,once you do a pair ,they go quickly .made many many socks for granddaughter from a single skein of yarn!
