??? about blue shrug in Leisure arts booklet

I hope someone can help me with this ??? my daughter wants me to make her the blue shrug on back of Leisure arts 4 stunning...crochet shrugs. she wants it in black. the booklet says it was made with lion brand-lion chenille. would that be the same as what is called "thick & chuncky" chenille. the reason i ask is that instr. say to use a size F hook. that seems like an offly small hook for the thick & chuncky yarn. hope someone has made this & can help me. thanks in advance everyone. judy

My understanding is that the Lion Chenille is a thinner yarn than the thick and chunky. There are two sizes of chenille and the smaller one is the one used in that pattern.

You may find it easier to work with than the thick and chunky also.

thanks Tampadoll. i thought there had to be one thinner for this shrug.,.. but i only found the thick & chuncky and one that was thinner was called "suede" at my local michael's store & joann's. guess i have to keep looking. thanks again. judy

No suede is something different. Lion chenille is a worsted weight chenille so if you can find that weight in another chenille, it should work.
