Just a hint. If you choose to make a poncho in the round, that seems to be the most popular for the little ones, MEASURE them. I made this mistake and I could not get the darn thing over her head, I was sooooo mad. Measure the width around the neck line you want, and then make sure it goes over their head, patterns are not always correct, if you use the pattern that is a round ponch, you can always crochet a chain, and insert around top area to use as a chain to pull to make it fit any way they want. Did that make sense. MEASURE! is the most important fact, then make the first row of chains that long.

I started one then the chain didnt look big enough so I quit

until I can get the mmmeasurments

i have daily access to 8 yr old twin girls - both on the thin side....
